Load cell repair and calibration SERVICE

PCM have their own in house design service to manufacture load cells to your requirements and dimensions. The service has been set up to gain maximum efficiency to enable to provide the quickest service without compromising on quality.

PCM offers a full repair and calibration service for damaged, suspect or working load cells. We are able to work on most load cell makes and models from small to very large capacities.

This service could eliminate the need to purchase new replacement load cells and so making considerable savings.
Each load cell is fully tested to diagnose the problem and a list of the faults will be presented along with the recommendations. The load cell is tested and calibrated to ensure optimum performance.

We have in house ability to test various designs of load cells from 30Te in tension to 280Te in compression from our selection of four test rigs and dead weights.

Each re-calibration undergoes a five point linearity run and three times repeatability over the full specified loading range. Below is an example of a supplied certificate:

• To alter the calibration format that suits the customers application, ie:- increased number of points or vary the scatter of points in a particular area of the calibration curve.
• To supply copies of the test machine certificates to maximise the traceability.

To complete a calibration we would require the following information:

• Type of calibration: Tensile, compression, torsion.
• Number of linearity points.
• Desire units of calibration.
• If an indicator is connected to the load cell, to have automatic calibration adjustment.
• Desired accuracy of calibration.
